When, back in 2006, me and my husband went for a trip across wastelands of Lika, Croatia, looking for a location to build the smallest of weekend barracks and ensure our kids have a way to occasionally enjoy the true nature, we have visited more than several of them. But, the moment we got into Vrelo Korenicko, the place from bedtime stories, and it was during the winter when all was covered in snow, we knew we should look no further.
A creek and a forest – what more does it take for a fairy tale wooden cabin. Ten years later and our dream was made true, with the help of EU rural development and growth finance funds. Along the way there was so much regulations to overcome and also, we were under constant observation considering we were building within national park.
But finally, in summer 2006, our little cabin was ready to be moved into and, since then, we wake up and go to sleep with Lika in our hearts and thoughts. My personal passion are details like cups, dinning plates and similar, which is what I constantly keep supplying our cabins with.
Our guests are thrilled with nature and calm which surrounds them, by the smell and warmth of the wood our cabins are built with.
I hope You will decide to come visit us and know that if You do, You will wish to come back at some other time during the year – Lika is a 4 seasons destination…
